These cottages are part of a barn conversion, which commenced in the winter of 1995. They have been carefully restored to retain much of the original character of the old barn, byres and stable. They are personally cared for by ourselves and great pride is taken in their homely atmosphere and cleanliness.

The "Turnip House" Cottage & The "Haywain' Cottage. 

These cottages both have a family room with double bed and a single bed, a bathroom and upstairs an open plan kitchen, diner and lounge. This lovely room has a fine view and shows the old barn characteristics with exposed brickwork. 

The "Granary" Cottage & The "Hayloft" Cottage.

These cottages both have two bedrooms. The one room has a double bed while next door is a twin bedroom also downstairs are the bathrooms. Upstairs leads to an open plan kitchen, diner and lounge. This spacious room has pine arches, beams and exposed original brickwork.

All of these cottages have a wealth of character and have fine views towards the Gaerfawr and Trawscoed Woods. There is spacious garden and lawn area and form walks. The village of Guilsfield is within easy walking distance; it has two public houses, a church, garage and a Mace shop. 

Each cottage has modern fitted kitchen with plenty of china, cutlery and cooking utensils for the number of people it accommodates. The cookers are four ringed with good-sized ovens and grills. Included in the price are night storage heaters. Other electricity is supplied by a coin meter.

Arrival and Departure. 

The cottages are ready for occupation from 4. 00pm and must be vacated by 10. 00am on the day of departure. Please do not arrive early as we need time to clean throughout the lets. 

Breakage and Damage 

These must be reported to the management and in some cases are to be paid for. 

Meals are available in the farmhouse licensed Bar and Restaurant. Alternatively lighter meals can be delivered to your cottage (again with prior arrangement). 

Directions:- From Welshpool Town centre traffic lights follow sign post A458 Dolgellau / Machynlleth to roundabout. From the roundabout take the A490 (north) for Guilsfield and continue for about 1½ miles. Turn right on to the B4392 for Guilsfield for about ½ mile. Turn right at the 30 m.p.h. speed limit sign, then take 1st left.
